• Please include this info file inside the torrent
  This is a simple text file that says this torrent is tracked by vgmTorrents. If you fail to add this to your torrent, then the site will reject it.
• Only VGM related torrents allowed
  Please only upload videogame music related content. There are many open/private trackers out there, so if you want to share any other kind of content, please refer to them. Allowed content includes soundtracks, compilations, remixes (even your own), documentaries, interviews and so on.

• No torrents from other trackers
  In order to preserve the quality and reliability of vgmTorrents releases, torrents from other trackers (public or private) are not allowed.
• No passworded archives
  Passworded archives (. rar, .zip, .ace, .tar, .7z, etc.) are not allowed. Forcing people to go to other sites to acquire a password is a nuisance on the community. Torrents which are reported for violating this rule are immediately deleted.
• Favour folders over archives
  Please always build torrents adding folders rather than zipped archives containing files. The torrent file format is purposely designed to contain entire directories; also, archives require double the space of the release content in order to be extracted: the space for the extracted files and the size of the archive itself.
• No duplicate material
  Please search before uploading to check if the material is already on the site. This rule always applies, except in the case you want to upload a torrent of higher quality than the already existing one, i.e. FLAC over MP3/OGG, DVD over DivX/Xvid. In this case duplicates are allowed - although most people often prefer the compressed versions, FLAC and lossless enthusiasts will go for the high quality release, and vgmTorrents highly supports this.
• No trojans or virus infected archives
  No infected torrents are allowed. Torrents infected with trojans, virii, adware, spyware, malware, etc. will be deleted.
• Please try to make sure your torrents are well-seeded for at least 24 hours or until there are some seeds to replace you.
