This definitely looks like a great service for anyone who wants to properly tag her/his videogame music collections. VGMdb is always updated with the last releases and has a large amount of rarities in its huge database, something which is very difficult (if not impossible) to find anywhere else. Future additions will even include track-by-track credits which is plain cool.

We highly encourage to fix track tags before releasing any torrent, even though, as of now, the service only supports applications that understand Shift-JIS encoding, such as Exact Audio Copy. Apparently software like Mp3tag and foobar2000 are not yet supported for this reason, although people at VGMdb are working on this. We’ll keep you updated and a guide on how to setup most tagging applications will be soon available in the Features section.
