Once again, I'm gonna have to mention Sonic the Hedgehog. He's all I ever seem to pay attention to these days.

First off, a bit of a newer thing: Sonic Colors. Not too much to say here, except that ~~Robuttnik~~ Eggman is at it YET AGAIN and this time the scenery is an amusement park of lights and colors.

Hey, it just looks like a fun time-waster to me, so my standards are low to begin with. Music is unbelievably catchy, though.

I'm noticing a trend here.

Second off, the thing everyone's keeping an eye on (I think), Sonic the Hedgehog 4! The one I was ranting about last post. The second stage, Lost Labyrinth, has been added and the music downloads updated.

Has anyone played this yet? Is it worth getting my hopes up even more? I ask these questions because my nosy roommate was looking over my shoulder as I typed this, all the while going "herpadurp." Not to take my place in the Sonic Cycle of Life or anything, but he's young and doesn't remember when Sonic was good and thus my interest in Sonic 4.

Anyone from the administrative department available to reset my ratio to 0.48 in a few days once my torrents are done re-downloading themselves? I had to transfer my torrents to the other user account on this computer for security reasons. I am not sure if re-downloading my torrents will totally slaughter my ratio or if your server recognizes what I am doing...which is my question. ...help?

Status Update Edit: The torrents are all finished downloading and are seeding again.

Best NES music evar? Probably not, but it's pretty nice. I'll most likely rip it myself if no one else has/will, but since I'm unfamiliar with the game itself and any track names (just thought the music was awesome when linked to that video), I thought I'd see if anyone else has.

Hello guys, my name's Ricardo Rodrigues, i'm 18 years old (19 in 3 days ), and i loved videogame music since i was a kid and will probably still love it till i die, some of my favorite vg soundtracks include Legend of Dragoon, Chrono, Legend of Zelda, Xenosaga, Xenogears, Final Fantasy, Bayonetta, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Dragon Quest, etc. Just to name a few.

Fact is i never could get into the "real" music industry, mtv and all of that, vgm just fitted with me the most, from orchestrated pieces with latin vocals to simple catchy techno beats, these incredible scores within my favorite games just made me love them more. It's a really underrated industry in the music department, but not only that, sadly.

I'm honoured of joining vgmTorrents, one of those rare websites that i can get my favourite type of music, VGM!

And within a community filled with people that love VGM aswell, what's not to like about this place!? ^.^

For those of us that have high-end phones or stubborn MP3 devices (I have both), you will come to the realization that your device just wont play those M4As from iTunes (Drat! Those W****s) or those hulky AACs, so I have a solution for you.

Why did I post this? Because I know how much of a you-know-what it is to find a utility that is not a trial version or contains a lot of spyware and malware or fluff that will send your anti-virus screaming "Mommy!" at you. Maniac Tools offers a free utility to convert those pesky M4As and AACs into raw WAV or MP3 format for your cell phone or stubborn MP3 device. Guess what, in the paid version, which is called Audio Converter Studio, there is support for FLAC as well, for you lossless folks, but I doubt your poor cell phone will play them.

Audio Converter Studio offers CD ripping support, too. (Boo. What are torrents for?) so if you actually chalked up the inflated prices at your local FYE or other such music store and left your wallet or credit card crying "What happened? I could have sworn I had $24.95 in here five minutes ago." then you can rip that bad boy to WAV (and save it for when you let your wallet recover, or send it on over to FLAC, and marvel at how little disk space you are using for the quality...

I used to be an avid Opera user, but I recently switched to Chrome, not only for its speed (especially the JavaScript VM) but also for all the new extensions that are coming out.
Anyway, I have all major browsers installed for web development purposes.

Seeding Failures

Ok some people might have noticed that I have been seeding lately, well that's because my computer cannot handle external HDD's :|,I'm in the process of transferring all media files to my laptop which will be temporarily seeding files. Until then I will seed whatever files I can from this comp (might only be one or two torrents but it's better than nothing)

No, not that one. I'm talking about Sonic 4, a multi-platform, episodic game featuring a certain blue critter that goes really, really fast. And that fat guy.

Grapevine time! And according to it, the series may be getting back on track. If you're unhappy with the werehogs, Loads and Loads of Characters, "Damn! Not here!", and general WTF, listen up!

Sendspace to the rescue, since we can't quite hear the music in the vid.

From the ONE track released so far, it feels reminiscent of the earlier Sonic the Hedgehog games. While that's enough for me to get tempted into another Sonic Cycle, here's a brief rundown of hope: 2D side-scrolling has returned, and there's just ~~Dr. Robitnik~~ Eggman and Sonic (Tails and Knuckles may show up via cameo). Hopefully this'll be a great beginning.

No Love For Lossless? [Seed Problems]

So about a week ago (whenever I first registered) I grabbed a bunch of lossless torrents from here, and I've been seeding them non-stop after I download them (which makes for about a week for most of them). I've downloaded ~27GB and unfortunately only uploaded around 750MB. Needless to say, my ratio is shot.

I'm going to keep seeding for a few more days, but then I have to move and I don't know if the internet connection will be fully functional right away. I'll be sure to start seeding again asap, though.

Even so, it seems that few people on this site like lossless music. Seriously, at this rate it's going to take me 9-12 months to get back up to 1 - assuming that I don't download anything else and that I'm seeding continuously for that whole time (which I can't be since I'm seeding from my laptop)...

I didn't realize how small this tracker was, or how few people on it like lossless until after the damage was done. lol

Mark Morgan, soundtrack composer for quite a few older PC RPG classics has aired the all-clear signal and given us all access to the Vault Archives. This is great news for fans of his superb work in Fallout and Fallout 2 for a few reasons, the least of which being that it's a free download over at Aural Network.

Of course, for those of us audiophiles who happen to also be vgm freaks, the fact that both soundtracks have been remastered and many of the tracks mixed together is really cause for excitement. Plus, the audio quality is fantastic as the release is in 320kbps and the new mixing really makes the whole experience flow better than simply listening to a series of rips. There's even a plus for OCD taggers like myself. We now have actual names for all the tracks from Fallout 2 (which never saw an official release in the first place).

For the rest of you who haven't already heard the Fallout soundtracks.. if you like quality, atmospheric music, you can't go wrong getting this. Come on, it's free! Go get it!
