New Article About Bootlegs

In this new feature, leefayce shares her experience with bootlegs and expands into a little guide that will help aspiring collectors to avoid what I consider the real videogame music piracy.
The article gives you some hints on how to tell whether your copy is real or fake.
If you don’t like reading, keep in mind that those tips are generally summed up in the following rule: look carefully at prices, catalog numbers and company logos.

This won’t help you in getting your money back or making pirate companies go down — most likely it will never happen, since sites like eBay appear to do nothing to fight against those companies. Also, reporting the evil auctions is very difficult: I tried myself and they asked me to find an expert that could prove my CD was a bootleg. In three days.
In any case, well, at least it will help spreading the word on the issue, which almost any anime/vgm collector has experienced.

By the way, if you’ve been cheated (I hope not), please post your story in this forum thread.
We will try to cheer you up.
